The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition is now available on the market. The newly launched Special Edition variant of the TVS Apache will be the newest addition in the TVS Apache range. The TVS RTR 160 4V, Special Edition comes with the addition of a lightweight bullpup exhaust and Pearl White colour options.
The TVS 2023 Apache RTR 160, 4V Special Edition has been launched by TVS Motor Company and is priced at ₹ 1.30 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). This edition comes in Pearl White colour and will be made available on sale along with the current Matte Black Special Edition in the market. The Special Edition trims include a redesigned lightweight Bullpup muffler which is new in this edition. The exhaust is also lighter by 1 kg than the existing version’s unit. TVS claims that this will result in a more throaty exhaust note and a more refined power delivery.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Highlights
What is the difference between the new Apache RTR 160 and the old one? The main difference between the new and the old is the engine. The new RTR 160 will continue to be sold alongside the old one for now. Unlike the old RTR 160, the new RTR 160 has a new 160cc engine with a new 4-valve vented head. The update also brings a bit of style to the RTR lineup. To the untrained eye, the styling on the new 160 4V might look a bit like the old 200 4V. The RTR 160 now comes with a new LED headlamp and edgy fuel tank as well as contrasting black alloy wheels.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Engine & Transmission
If you’re looking for a powerful and fuel-efficient vehicle, then you’ve come to the right place! The TVS Apache 4V is powered by a single-cylinder diesel engine that has a capacity of 16.1 bhp and a torque of 14.8 Nm. It’s mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and has a fuel efficiency rating of 30km/l.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Handling
At the front, the RTR 160 rides on a set of telescopic forks, while at the back, it’s mated to a single monoshock. It’s built on a double cradle chassis, and the 17-inch front and rear wheels are equipped with 90/90 tyres on the front and 110/80 tyres on the rear. Braking power comes from 270mm discs on the front and 130mm drums on the rear.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Exterior Details
The main difference between the RTR 160 and the 4V is that the RTR 160 has a well-balanced and well-proportioned design. Dimensions are 2,050mm long, 790mm wide, 1,050mm high, with 180mm of ground clearance and a 12-litre fuel tank capacity. The bike weighs 143kg at the kerb.

If you’re looking for a 4V vehicle from TVS, you’ve got two options: Drum-ABS and Disc-ABS. The Drum-ABS version has a price tag of ₹1,01 lakh, and the disc-ABS version has a price tag of ₹ 1.04 lakh.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Some Special Features
The 2023 special edition will have adjustable clutch and brake levers, black and red alloy wheels in the same colour, a new dual tone seat, and a rear radial tyre. It’ll also come with TVS Smart XonnectTM and a gear shift indicator. Plus, it’ll have a full LED headlight with the TVS signature DRL (Daytime Running Light). There are also three different ride modes to choose from – Urban, Sport and Rain.
