Community Guidelines
A short content policy for storytellers and readers. Breaking it can mean content is restricted, removed or an account suspended.

Be respectful
Disagree with the story, not the storyteller. Critique sources and reasoning; skip insults, pile-ons and bad-faith argument.
Be authentic
Publish work you actually made. Label AI-assisted stories honestly and don't present speculation as documented fact.
Respect copyright
Only use text, images and video you own or are licensed to use, and credit your sources. Repeated infringement leads to removal.
Historical accuracy
Cite sources for claims, especially contested ones. Content that knowingly distorts history, fabricates events or misleads about people may be restricted or removed.
No harassment
No threats, stalking, doxxing, sexual harassment or coordinated targeting of a person — in stories, comments or messages.
No hate or discrimination
Content that attacks or dehumanises people based on race, ethnicity, religion, caste, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics is not allowed.
No sexual or exploitative content
No pornographic, sexually exploitative or non-consensual sexual content. Any sexual content involving minors is removed and reported.
No violence or illegal activity
Don't glorify violence, promote terrorism, or use the platform to organise or advertise illegal activity. Historical documentation of violence is allowed when it is contextual, sourced and not gratuitous.
No spam or manipulation
No bulk low-quality stories, keyword stuffing, deceptive links, engagement farming or attempts to game trending, likes or trust signals.
No impersonation
Don't pose as another person, organisation or The Time Story staff. Stories about real people are fine; pretending to be them is not.
Use comments and messages well
Don't use comments or direct messages for unsolicited promotion, harassment or repeated unwanted contact. Authors can moderate comments on their own stories.
Reporting violations
Use the report action on a TimeStory, moment or comment, or email admin@thetimestory.com with a link and a short description.
The Time Story may review, restrict, unpublish or remove content that violates these guidelines or our Terms, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly break them.
